Client Services is responsible for the filling of all offices in the Public Service through promotions and permanent appointments.

The Unit is also responsible for the transfer of officers from one Ministry to another in the Public Service or from the Public Service to another services institution in accordance with the relevant Act of Parliament; the noting of retirements; and the confirmation of appointments of officers whose probationary period expired before 1st June, 2006. It also processes the recommendation for retirement on medical grounds.
